2012 Memberhsip Renewal

It’s time to renew your NCMS dues. To renew simply log onto the NCMS National website (http://www.classmgmt.com) and sign/log in. After you have logged in, select the MEMBERS ONLY tab and scroll down to member renewal. From there simply follow the directions. There is no need to fill out a membership form if you are a current member and are simply renewing your membership.

If you are not a current member and would like to join, CLICK HERE, or just hold your mouse over the "Join NCMS" button at the top, highlight and click on "Become a Member".

May 9 Brown Bag - NCMS National Committees – Part 3 of 3

The NCMS Carolinas Chapter is proud to present the next segment of the Brown Bag Training Series. Registration for the 9 May Brown Bag registration is now open.

In January we met Liz Fant, Kat Boyer & Beverly Brooks and learned about their committee work as National Board members. In March we met National Board members Quinton Wilkes, Dottie Bitner & Aprille Abbott and learned about their committee work.

Join us on 9 May as we meet the last three board members as they introduce themselves and their committees to us. You will be able to start logging on at 12:00 (eastern standard time) and training starts at 12:10 (eastern standard time). Please be courteous and be on time.

Leonard Moss heads up the Information Systems Security Committee and has a lot to update us on as his committee has been extremely busy. Learn what they've been up to and how you can help.

Jose Jessup & Charles Talley co-chair the Education & Training Committee. Their committee has been busy updating & editing products for the benefit of the NCMS members. Learn what they've got coming our way.

Dennis Arriaga serves as chair for the Defense Industrial Board (DIB) committee. Learn what the DIB is and how you can become involved.

Please note that you must be a NCMS member and you must register individually in Event Brite in order to receive the certificate & briefing slides. Certificates are sent within 5 working days of the training and slides (if there are any) are posted to the NCMS Carolinas website under the members only section NLT 5pm the same day of training.

LATE REGISTRATIONS are considered on a case by case basis depending upon the current schedule of the Brown Bag team. NCMS members approved for late registration are not provided a certificate of training.

Briefing slides & certificates are not provided to non-NCMS members.

NCMS Carolinas Committee Members

Hello Carolinas Security Professionals

Below are the NCMS Carolinas committees and members so far. We’re looking for more interest so take a look and see where you think you might be able to help us move forward.

Membership Committee - members of this committee will develop ideas to obtain new members, retain current members and increase participation & attendance. They will additionally research and provide ideas to the Carolinas board of officers reference the promotion of the chapter in respect to chapter shirts, bags, etc

Meetings/Program Committee - Members of this committee will
- Coordinate arrangements for meeting facilities with meeting location POC
- Assist in the arrangement of trainers for the pre-determined theme.
- Assist in the set-up and break-down for chapter training events
- Assist in the preparation of Certificates of Appreciation and thank you letters/certificates for speakers and hosting companies/organizations.

Sponsorship Committee – members of this committee will develop ideas to obtain sponsors to offset the cost of chapter training & events and will provide sponsorship certificates to all sponsors accordingly. They will also follow up to ensure all sponsorship benefits are started and ended in a timely manner.

Communication Committee – members of this committee will work with either the Newsletter lead or the Chapter Web Site lead to ensure communications to members are continuous and accurate.

Nominations Committee – members of this committee will solicit/recruits volunteers for chapter offices, work with Nationals to put together voting process, receive & advise the chapter members of the results.

Mentor Committee – members of this committee will work to conduct introductory mentor program requirements to all new members and to assign mentors to members who request assistance in enhancing their security performance

Seminar Committee – this committee should be comprised of personnel who are attending the 2012 Seminar in Orlando (in June) and will work with the Chapter Chair to ensure sufficient information is provided to the membership reference registration, poster contests, media contests, etc. They will also work with the Chapter Chair to plan a Chapter Social outing at the Seminar and to ensure registration for the Chapter photo.
